Raymond
Allan Harris was born near Hannibal, Missouri on October 4,
1952. His family moved often before settling in Pasadena,
Texas. His father, Joe, started working for NASA in 1960 and
helped "put a man on the moon". Thelma, his mother, raised six children
and encouraged his interest in art.
An avid surfer, he traveled extensively at an early age to paint and sketch. Ray Harris has worked at filmmaking since 1978. The storytelling and
visualizations have enriched his fine art paintings and compositions. His paintings and drawings have forced directors “look
at the picture” rather than just the script for development and guidance. The important training of working from the model
found its way to his more important works. The genre paintings and
interiors are starting to make a mark in the larger art market.
His home and studio are in San Buenaventura, California. |
